The spacious open plan dining room, kitchen and sitting room boasts gorgeous views across the surrounding countryside, exposed beamed ceilings, a bespoke kitchen with AGA (turned off during the summer) and a roaring wood burning stove in the large fireplace. There are two ground floor bedrooms with beautiful antique beds, both with the added luxury of an en-suite shower room. Upstairs on the first floor there is a family bathroom featuring a freestanding bath and two further bedrooms which enjoy views over the garden and surrounding countryside, one has a Juliet balcony. Stepping outside, chickens roam freely around the large, mature garden. Within the gardens are a fire pit area, barbecue, pretty pergola and paved terrace with superb views. Five Acres welcomes up to two dogs, however, please be aware, although the garden is enclosed, the fence is low and a determined dog may be able to escape! Situated a few miles outside the village of Boltby, you are only a short drive to Sutton Bank, at the top of which was the favourite view of James Herriot, the famous Yorkshire Vet. Five Acres accommodates up to eight guests, ideal for bringing the whole family together or spending some precious time away with friends. There is certainly an abundance of places to eat; The Carpenters Arms at Felixkirk, Batum in the sought-after town of Helmsley and not forgetting the famous Star Inn at Harome, virtually winning every relevant industry award from Top UK Gastropub to the much celebrated Michelin star, offering modern Yorkshire food made from locally-sourced ingredients. You are simply spoilt for choice! Additional Information: Welcome hamper and unlimited logs are provided. Infants are welcome. A highchair is provided however please bring your own travel cot. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge). The road leading to the house is uneven. The AGA is turned off during the summer, however an electric oven and hob is provided all year round.
