The property was beautiful, the cottage had enough bedrooms for our family and a great open concept living area, would have been perfect IF it was clean and stocked. We rented the cottage for 10 days and had to replenish toilet paper, paper towel and drinking water immediately. There was bedding and towels in the laundry room (we had to do someone else’s laundry),the coffee machine had been put away with used grinds in the machine (moldy), there was food stuck to the counter tops, window sills, stove and oven, and there were dirty dishes in the cupboards. The downstairs bathroom was dirty and moldy, the garbage bin in the shed was full, garbage was strewn around the building and cigarette butts on the property (None of us smoke). Before we used anything in the kitchen, we had to wash it first. We steam cleaned the oven twice, scrubbed the stove top daily, bleached the sink and vacuumed the floors daily. SO DIRTY!!!!!!!!!!! The cottage was cleaner when we left than when we arrived.

Pictures don’t do justice to the beauty that surrounds this cottage. A lovely and extremely spacious cottage. Location and the cottage was a 10/10. However, It would have been amazing if the place was deep cleaned before our stay. It was dusty and filled with a lot of spider webs. The floors of the cottage, even the bathroom floors needed mopping. And outside area like the bbq and firepit area needed a normal cleaning. The chairs had spider webs.

We came up for the august long weekend and it was just perfect. Not a lot of bugs, perfect weather and excellent kayak conditions!
