We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the living area and kitchen. It was also very clean and neat. We had twelve people and never felt crowded. There are only four chairs on the deck, so you may want to bring a couple lawn chairs to add to seating. The walk to the beach wasn't bad. My grandson raced to see how fast he could get to the water from the house and he did it in 29 seconds. He's 15 and can run fast. We enjoy family dinners so we loved the very large dining table. That was a real plus for us. I would recommend this house with no reservation. You won't be disappointed.

My group and I (8 adults and 5 children aged 5 and under) spent a long Memorial Day weekend here and loved every second. It was right on the beach, and the path to the beach was just one house over. Super convenient and easy to walk back to the house for lunch, to grab more drinks, or bring a kiddo to the potty. There was plenty of space for everyone to sleep, hang out, and eat. Seating at the table for 10, and an extra 4 at the island, made it perfect for us all to gather for meals. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. The bathrooms were also very clean! Outside was great with a large porch with chairs, and stairs that led down to the outdoor shower. There was also host of beach chairs available, and space inside the very front of the house to store sandy beach toys. Overall, we were very pleased and LOVED Oak Island. It's super family friendly and we can't wait to go back!

We had our annual girls trip and stayed at Bill’s home. There were 8 of us and plenty of room for all of us. The decorations were great, beds were comfortable, loved the dual coffee maker that can use coffee grounds and Keurig cups, the view and location were spectacular. We loved waking up to the sound and views of the beach and ocean and enjoying breakfast or coffee on the porch! There was also plenty of parking for our cars. Beach chairs were available for us to use. We will definitely stay there again!

We had a great time at Bills place and made some fun family memories. I would give 5 stars if the photos on the listing matched up with the beach access at the house. The main factor we used to pick this place was the direct access to the beach bc we have little kids and brought kayaks and didn’t want to have to bring wagons or carry carts to transport them. We were really bummed to see sand dunes blocking the access from the pics on the listing photos so we had to walk on the road side around to the public access to get to the beach. Not a big deal if you don’t have small kids who can’t do this on their own bc the road is 45mph and very busy or sea kayaks that we planned on dragging out to the beach from the house, but this would’ve been a dealbreaker for us if we’d known. The photos should be updated to show there is no direct access from. Other than that the house is great, looks recently updated, everything was nice, lots of great storage below and chairs and beach toy

Awesome location, well stocked kitchen, and comfortable beds and common spaces. Plenty of hot water for our group of 7. Bonus that the outdoor shower has hot water as well.
