This place was just what my husband and I needed for a quick trip to Boone area. It was out in the countryside and and was quiet. Accommodations were beautiful. Liza was a great host and made sure we had all our needs meet. Even the dog and cat were so friendly. Wish we had more time to just relax at the place, but was a busy 2 days, but maybe next time.

The pictures don't do this listing justice! The space was spotless, bright and airy with terrific light from the skylights and the very large picture window. Watching the sun come up over the ridge visible from the backyard was magical. The flannel bedding and down comforter made for a cozy sleep during our November stay. The location on a main (but quiet) road makes it easy to enjoy nearby towns and hiking trails, and the Happy Valley Filling Station just down the road serves some of the best pizza we've ever had. Our hosts were extremely responsive and a pleasure to meet. In advance of our stay, Liza offered help in planning our visit to the area. We also appreciated the array of teas, plentiful jugs of water and fresh fruit provided. Excellent wifi. We would happily return!

This is a fantastic place to stay! Beautiful and peaceful surroundings with great proximity to Boone, Blowing Rock, and numerous mountain attractions. Liza is an incredibly friendly host and made excellent local recommendations. Definitely eat at the Happy Valley Filling Station down the road! The room is comfortable, homey, and beautifully decorated. 5/5 stars in every way!

The garret was cozy and clean, with lots of character. Loved waking up to the view of the sky through the huge windows. The location is in the country, but there was a great brewery/ brick oven fired pizza place (recommended to us by William) right down the road (with live music). Lenoir isn’t far away if you need anything fast, and the drive to Blowing Rock or Boone for adventures and lots of choices for food is pretty short, with easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway making for a beautiful ride. Liza and William were excellent hosts; made us feel right at home and responded right away to our questions.

Quaint and quiet! Just what ai needed for a quick getaway. Short drive to Lenoir, Blowing Rick and Boone. The scenery was beautiful and Liza is a fantastic hostess.
