Dexter · 整套客房 · 1室1床1.0卫 · 可住2人 · The Cottage at Evergreen
This guesthouse is located on the grounds of an historic, 1898, Dexter home. While a studio floor plan, it offers a queen bed, living room area, a small bathroom and a kitchenette. There is a TV with Roku, internet, a small fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. The decor is a warm, cottage theme that is changed with the seasons. A small porch offers outdoor seating for 2. Beside the garage is a fire pit and chairs guests may use. An assortment of snacks and drinks await you! Aspects of the cottage are “rustic” particularly the small bathroom and kitchenette. Yet, it is a quaint, comfortable little house that family and friends have enjoyed! As the pictures show, there are no walls separating the sleeping area from the living area. It should be noted, we are located only 3 blocks from the downtown train tracks and trains do travel thru, sounding their horn multiple times during the night!
Delightful bungalow that is well appointed and well taken care of. We traveled to Dexter from NC to see the 2024 solar eclipse and not only were the skies clear, but we watched from just outside our front door. Could not have been better. The space was super comfortable and there were so many nice treats. Our plans changed at the last min and we left a day early. Didn't expect a refund, but were sent a partial one. All in all, a truly great stay. Definitely will stay here if we are ever in the area again.
We had a wonderful stay. The cottage was cozy, comfortable, and clean. My wife absolutely loved the decor and the layout. Everything was incredibly clean and organized. Our hosts were very responsive and helpful. We stayed in several BNBs over our 3 week trip and this was our favorite. We will definitely book this place again on our travels east to NC. Anyone needing a place to stay in the Dexter MO area, this is where you want to be.
Born and raised in Stoddard County, and having previously lived in Dexter, spending the night at John's cottage was like coming home. It is located on Walnut Street, a historic landmark. The cottage is beautiful, and upon opening the door, you see exactly what is represented in the ad photos. The little sage green brick cottage with the welcoming entry door completed a memorable class reunion weekend. We can't wait to go back!
310 S. Walnut, dubbed “Evergreen” when we purchased it in 2020, is part of the “Miller Addition”. It’s our understanding our home was built in 1898 as a gift to Mr. Miller’s daughter, Annie.
