Great, quiet, charming place for two families. Only one shower, but we made it work by staggering. One person out of our eight (who’s very sensitive) decided to get a hotel room due to the smell (old historic home smell, not dirty smell). Justin was very responsive. It was a fun, unique place to stay. Beautiful backyard and garden, comfortable beds, nicely appointed kitchen, clean bathrooms and amazing historic neighborhood. Thanks for allowing to use your home!

Our family enjoyed the stay in this beautiful historic home. The location is very convenient to downtown Elgin and in a lovely historic neighborhood.

Loved our stay at Justin’s house. If you have ANY interest in old houses this is house is a must! That aside, it was amazing to have so much room. We had several people and Justin set-up extra beds, and the size of the house still left us with plenty of common space. The beds & linens were comfortable ~ the king bed was probably the most comfortably I’ve ever slept away from home. The location is convenient for traveling around most of the Chicago-land area, and the local downtown was close with several good restaurants (especially an amazing variety of authentic Mexican food)

Very charming Victorian house with wood floors, antique furnishings, piano and beautiful garden. We really enjoyed our time here

Beautifully house and lovely interior. But. Advertisement of the house didn’t mentioned that the house where under renovation with open walls, sharp exposed tiles, broken dishwashers (not broken but so dirty it had to be totally sanitizer to be able to function again) meanwhile making the dish by hands for a couple of days. Dirty and dusty sweeped under the rugs and grease on kitchen cabinets doors. Did I mentioned the broken bed, mold smell in bathroom and the cockroach? And no action by owner to fix anything. Unfortunately there where impossible to find other place to stay during Swedish days so we had to make the best of it. Otherwise very easy to park and quite nice neighbourhood.
