From the cottage you look out over a beautiful mountain view. Here you can experience all seasons in nature's many changing colors. Here you have the opportunity for hiking, snowmobiling or skiing, directly from the cottage, on trails that take you up the mountain, The cottage is located in Storhogna in Bergs municipality in Jämtland but belongs to the ski area Vemdalen which also consists of Vemdalsskalet, Björnrike and Klövsjö.
For the hiker, the possibilities are unlimited. Over the mountain are 180 km of rugged trails that take you out into the wilderness or to our neighboring villages. It is never far between the rest cabins where coffee and other goodies are served. From Högfjällshotellet, a 4 km easy cross-country trail with majestic views begins, which leads to the popular excursion destination "Samevistets" waffle house on the bare mountain.
In Storhogna there are activities both summer and winter. From the cottage it is walking distance to both restaurants, SPA and bowling as well as immediate proximity to both snowmobile trails and cross-country trails. If you prefer slalom, the lifts to Klövsjö / Storhogna lift system are very close by.
Proximity to fine groomed cross-country ski trails and slalom slopes. Storhogna's own downhill skiing has slopes that run in blue and red and is gently undulating skiing for the whole family. If you want a little more challenge, take the transport lift over to Klövsjö.

The track center for cross-country skiing is located 250 meters from the cottage with several well-groomed cross-country trails that during summer and autumn are fabulous hiking trails. We usually takes on our skis and skiing out to the trails directly from the cottage.
Storhogna Högfjällshotell & Spa is located approx.: 1200 meters from the cottage. The hotel is beautifully situated on the border of Moutain without trees 755 masl.
Snowmobile trails are "around the corner"
Storhogna M Activity House in Storhogna is 1400 meters away. Many of Sweden's best artists perform here, bowling, billiards or shuffleboard are also offered. Exercise at the gym or sauna and swim in the relaxation area, après-ski or just relax over a bite to eat and good drinks with friends and family.
The nearest ski lift is 800 meters away with alpine skiing on 100% natural snow. The lift pass is valid in the immediate area Storhogna / Kövsjö and also in the Vemdals-skalet and Björnrike. A drive of about 15 minutes or the ski bus takes you easily to Vemdalsskalet and it is about 25 minutes to Björnrike.
