This was a great house! It has amazing art and decorations. There was more than enough room for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids. The neighborhood is absolutely beautiful, full of historic Oakland mansions with flowering gardens. Street parking was plentiful. There are a bunch of great restaurants and a Trader Joe's within walking distance. EJ responded very quickly whenever we had questions and was very helpful.

Our host E.J. was great. When we had a question or need, he responded right away. He was easy to contact and very helpful. The gorgeous house is set up on a hill with lush plants all around. We took the whole main level of the house (3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and huge living spaces with basically an art gallery in each of the main rooms). Really fun and lovely art. The kitchen was well supplied with equipment (coffee maker, tea kettle, lots of pots, pans, dishes, dishwasher, mandated trash bins clearly marked, 2 sinks, a center island, some food staples,etc and a full sized washer and dryer). Walking to town for our coffee and tea became a morning ritual. It's a great place to walk (hills and flats). There is a little bit of every type of store in the area. Plenty of parking out front. We were there for a month and enjoyed it all! Thank you E.J.!

A lovely home with beautiful art. Walking distance to numerous restaurants and gorgeous Lake Merritt. EJ was a great host with excellent communication.

E.J.'s house was beautiful and so helpful for our nonprofit arts group!
