Our quiet, comfy 800 square foot apartment is perfect for a couple’s getaway, a working retreat or a break from hiking the local trails. Round Hill is one of the highest vantages in the local area for viewing the Shenandoah Valley. Sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking. We have no light pollution so many guests enjoy night sky viewing. We are close to fantastic wineries, orchards, hiking trails and restaurants. There is plenty of space to spread out in the living room to read or watch a movie. We provide fresh eggs from our small flock of hens as well as freshly ground coffee and cream for your breakfast. Granola, milk, fruit and yogurt are also provided. Eat in the dining area or on the 32 foot front porch, enjoying views of the valley or the flora and fauna near your chair.

The view from this house is unbelievable. My girlfriend and I stayed at Donna’s place, which is the first floor of a beautiful hillside home after a big day hiking in Shenandoah. We both can’t recommend it enough as a peaceful destination to relax after an adventure!

We had a wonderful and peaceful stay at Donna's lovely Airbnb! The views were gorgeous and all of the thoughtful amenities Donna provided made the stay even better (smores supplies for the firepit, fresh eggs, cookies, etc.). We thought it was even better than the listing photos, and would absolutely recommend staying here! Can't wait to come back.
Donna is an incredibly gracious host. She provided us with coffee, fresh farm eggs, farm bread, yoghurt, and several other items of fruit and vegetables, as well as spices and condiments, which was completely unexpected. Bedroom is spacious and very dark, and very very quiet, guaranteeing a good night's sleep. The queen-sized bed is very comfortable, with excellent quality linens and pillows. The bathroom is fully equipped with top quality linens and towels, soaps, and even toothpaste and toothbrushes should one have forgotten to bring their own. The kitchen is fully equipped with top quality appliances, both large and small. We used the Weber gas grill for most of our cooking, as we prefer to cook outdoors. The property is beautiful, and the view is breathtaking. We spent many hours sitting on the porch, watching the birds and the insects going about their days. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Round Hill is 27 acres of meadow and woodland. We have observed deer, foxes, wild turkeys, and many species of birds. Our property is certified as a pollinator garden, meaning that no pesticides or herbicides are used in our gardens or on the larger acreage, so bees, butterflies and many other insects feel at home here. We have no immediate neighbors but are 5 minutes from the quaint little town of Broadway and 15 minutes from the north edge of Harrisonburg.
Guest parking is marked and is next to the entrance to the apartment.
We offer brochures to many local attractions and can give suggestions for dining, things to do and see, etc upon request.
