Mike was nice and a good effort was made but the rate we paid wasn’t worth it. The cabin wasn’t clean. Garbage was left from the last guests and there was dust/dirty on the floor. So much so we ended up keeping our shoes on. The location was super convenient from where we were coming from but there was an rv parked right in front that had a very loud generator. The cabin has three windows only on which was covered. It has been effort made and could be an awesome place but needs to be shut down for a week and done right before being rented to people. Also needs to be cleaned before letting someone stay there.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin! Mike was very friendly and helpful throughout the process. Nice to have a full bathroom, hot tub, and wifi. Super private! This all makes the price worth it. Only thing that would have been nice is some sort of water feature to cool off as it was really hot and the nearest water is not walking distance. Overall, we would book again!

Mike's place has lots of potential, but only after all the exposed wiring is properly fixed, including the water heater, light in the loft, and ceiling fan are in working order. The rear exposed walls around the bathroom are not a great welcome on arrival either. It was very hot, and had to cut the Tuck tape on one window to open (at Mike s suggestion). The bathroom window doesn't have a screen so it cannot be opened unless you like moths streaming in. He is fairly responsive and had his on-site guy, Braden, stop by to address the water heater, which kept tripping taking your shower from scalding to ice cold. Add the multiple exposed electrical junction boxes, exposed wiring taped off, and dirty bathroom and beside table, we didn't stay a second night. Beyond offering your friends and family to stay here, we think it's way too premature to list on AirBnb.

Mike's cabin is a very DIY home and is for someone who is willing to get dirty. Unfortunately, my parents and I found it to be too premature to be listed on Airbnb and had to leave sooner than planned. We found the listing description did not match our expectations and Mike was very unresponsive to our needs during our stay. In the end, he accommodated our early departure and agreed to give us a refund which we were thankful for.
