A wonderful vacation among the idyllic wheat fields of eastern Washington! If you have wondered what farm life is like beyond roadside social media photos, then book a stay at Stella’s Homestead. You get the quiet beauty of being in the middle of miles of farmland, without doing the hard work of farming! What a gift Cheryl has made of sharing this farm experience -- a balance of modern comfort and historic machinery. A clean and inviting sanctuary to enjoy a way of living few get to ever know -- stars at night, sitting by the river outside the back door, roaming around huge spaces that aren’t parks. And of course there was a deer grazing in the wheat field to greet us when we arrived! Because the place is magical.

Stella's homestead is a great place to unwind a little bit and get a sense for what the region is all about. If you came to wander the streets of downtown Walla Walla, it'd be a great contrast to lap after lap of winery fronts. We came to help family in nearby Waitsburg, and the shop was just the place to house and feed our kids and parents. It was great to take in the history of people who made a living in the landscape back in the day, too! When was the last time you stayed somewhere within 25 minutes of the airport and you could see the Milky Way in the night sky? So dark, so clear! Thanks, Cheryl, for creating such a great place!

Cheryl was so nice and accommodating! We had 6 people for 2 days and cooked a few meals in the kitchen area. It was easy and we had everything we needed for basic cooking. Cheryl took her time to explain the area and told us the history of the beautiful property. She was always available when we had questions and accommodations. The beds were adorable and very comfortable. We had a blast both sitting on the beautiful back porch and hanging out playing board games inside of The Shop. We are already talking about coming back! Thank you Cheryl!
