Salvatore’s place is amazing! He has architecturally renovated an ancient vaulted space into a modern and thoughtfully planned Airbnb apartment. The view from the balconies is breathtaking! When we arrived, the sun was setting behind the gorgeous skyline of the old city of Sissi just a stone’s throw away to the right. To the left is a beautiful old church - and in the middle is a kind of piazza space where some of the scenes of the 007 movie were shot. The location is just fabulous; it's the corner unit so that windows and balconies on two sides allow daylight and views. Everything in Salvatore’s place is new and immaculate and super comfortable. The lovely little kitchen has one of the balconies facing the best view, and the morning sunshine - and has a little table and chairs to enjoy them. One thing I would say is that it is often not easy to find places by street number in Italy - perhaps a sign would help. We loved our visit. Thanks Salvatore!

Our HIGHEST rating and regards for Salvatore as a wonderful host. The apartment is in the most convenient location, and was perfectly arranged with amenities. He was so kind to meet us for check in and wonderful to our little dogs as well. This is the perfect place to stay in an absolutely magical city!

As other guests have said this is a wonderful place to stay with the most fabulous view, and with a modern and stylish decor. Salvatore is the most helpful and obliging host you could have. Make sure to pay attention to his advice regarding parking as it not easy in the immediate vicinity. We loved our stay, thank you Salvatore!

Amazing house in an incredible location with unbeatable views for Matera. The entire place is beautifully presented with lots of thoughtful extras, like olive oil, lovely soaps and shampoos, adaptors, sewing kit and much more. Salvatore and Antonella are amazing hosts - so helpful with loads of great recommendations. We wish we could give more than 5*s!

Salvatore’s apartment is a very special place. The interior design is beautiful with every detail thoughtfully executed. The views of Matera are breathtaking both during the day & @ night. Everything is in easy walking distance & there are many excellent restaurants & bars in the vicinity. Salvatore furnished us with lots of great recommendations which were extremely helpful. We did a private walking tour of Matera, which was a brilliant way to see the sassi, the Civita & hear of the history. Matera is a must see city & I can think if no where better to stay than in this beautiful two level apartment.
