Charming 3 bedroom, 2 bath family home just steps from a perfect, sandy, Pacific Coast beach. Nearby Troncones is on the map now, but on Playa Buenavista you can walk for miles hardly seeing another person. This was our family's home full-time for 6 years and is still our favorite place to go every chance we get. Perfect for families (we have the place stocked with toys, books, puzzles, games, dvds, sand toys, boogie boards, etc.) and nature lovers (the bird-watching is amazing!!). There is a main living space with a fully-stocked galley style kitchen, a mesquite dining room table with 4 chairs (2 more can be added on the ends, but we mainly eat at the bigger tables outside), and a living room with a sofa, love seat, chair, smart tv, and lots of dvds, games, and books. One guest room can be made up with either two twins or a king bed. The other has bunk beds as well as a couch that can be made up as a twin. These 2 rooms share a full bathroom right off the kitchen. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, en suite bathroom, desk with a chair, and its own entrance. There is a covered patio in front and an open patio on the side off the master. Each bedroom has its own a/c unit; the main room has 4 strong ceiling fans. There is an additional bathroom in the back part of the house, behind the bodega (storage/ laundry/ service room), as well as a small outdoor kitchen with a grill nearby (you can buy charcoal, but we like to just use driftwood from the beach for cooking).

Casa Manglar was the perfect place for a family getaway. The beach was very empty and great for the kids to play in the water and surf the waves. The house is a stones throw from the beach and has all the amenities we needed including lots of games. The need guns were a big hit ;) We arrived with friends who took a taxi and it was easy to follow the taxista to the house. Without him it might have been more challenging to find, but Laura was very proactive about sending us the map before our arrival so we wouldn’t have problems. We went to nearby Troncones a couple of times for dinner and lunch under a palapa. Thanks for a great stay - We are already talking about returning next year!
La casa de Laura está preciosa! Mis perros estuvieron encantados con el lugar, amplio y con las condiciones necesarias para una estancia agradable. La ubicación está excelente, sin lugar a dudas fue como estar en casa. Laura siempre estuvo atenta y muy amable, sin duda volvere a su alojamiento!!

La casa está muy amplia y cómoda además de estar muy cerca de la playa, ideal para descansar. Recomendamos llevar todo lo necesario porque no hay tiendas cerca. Las fotos y la descripción del lugar coinciden en todo. Laura la anfitriona muy amable y al pendiente todo el tiempo . La pasamos muy bien, definitivamente regresaremos.
Excelente lugar, muy hogareño, fui con mis hijas y todos fuimos muy felices ahí, la playa está muy cerca.

Marvel at the local fishermen as they cast their nets into the ocean. Watch as a group of pelicans swarm down over a school of fish. Walk for miles in the warm sun. Splash in the cool, clear waves. Smile as a pod of dolphins swim by, surfing the waves as they go. Listen to the calls of the hundreds of birds who call the area home. Release baby sea turtles, sometimes hundreds at a time. No hotels, no restaurants, no discos... just paradise.
Located just 3 miles south of Troncones and 15 miles north of Ixtapa, this is the ideal place for your tranquil beach vacation. There are no vendors and very few people; just sun, sand, abundant wildlife, waves, and a nice ocean breeze.
The house is located in a very remote subdivision. We require that all guests have a vehicle while staying here, please. The small village of Buenavista, as well as the main highway, are about a mile away on a one-lane (yet 2-way) dirt road.
Troncones is a growing beach village just to the north of Buenavista. Although it’s only about 3 miles as the crow flies, it takes about 15 minutes to drive there because you have to go out to the main highway. There are little shops, many restaurants and guest houses, and some great surfing here. Even better surfing is a bit north still, at La Saladita or The Ranch.
Ixtapa is home to golf courses, high rise hotels, and nightlife. It’s about a 20 minute drive south.
Zihuatanejo, just south of Troncones, is the “big city” of the area. There are 2 large grocery stores, Mega Soriana and Bodega Aurrera, as well as a Sam’s Club. Get past the commercial outskirts of the city, though, to discover the bay. Playa La Ropa is probably the most famous of the Zihua beaches, where you can spend the day under an umbrella, eating at one of the many restaurants, and watching the parasailers glide through the air. Playa Principal is where the fishermen return with their catch every morning; doesn’t get much fresher than this! Also near Playa Principal is the main pier, where you can catch a water taxi across the bay to Playa Las Gatas for a day of snorkeling.
