We had a lovely stay! We parked in public parking and you’ll get one Cambridge parking pass from the owners. The pub below was fun and friendly, and we didn’t hear any loud noise from below. We had 2 moms and 6 kids in town for an MIT high school group and the location was great, safe, and we had space and everything we needed. The owners are super accommodating and friendly.

Great neighborhood! Many quaint features related to the renovation of an older building. Several sealed doors and at least one sparking wall outlet. Our first night, Thursday, we were challenged by extremely loud, deep bass, club music. This lasted until 2:00AM. We purchased earplugs for our remaining stay. Checking in and out was super easy! The staff in the bar below the residence were extremely warm, friendly and welcoming!

Great location! I was a little worried being above a bar with the noise, but we were in the third floor and never heard any of it. It was a narrow staircase up the three flights of stairs that could be difficult for the elderly or physically impaired, but we loved our stay and would absolutely stay here again simply for the location.

Your experience will depend on what you expect going in, and on luck. If you're looking for just a place to go to bed, then it works. But from our personal experience, this is how we felt: 1. Noise depends on luck. It's above a bar, so if course there will be some noise. However, we got unlucky in that someone held a birthday party the night we arrived that lasted until 2am. We could head every shout as if it was right next door, even though we were on the third floor. For us who had just stepped off the plane, it was a rough night. But the next night it was totally peaceful and we had a better night. 2. It's an older building, but a few details could be updated. Cambridge is an old neighborhood, so we understand that the walls, cabinets, and floors won't seem new. But some furnishings could be updated, since the pillows were very thin, the rugs in the bathroom and study room were getting old, and the dish dryer was starting to smell. Overall, good for a quick stay, but that's it.

It was a good location for us, but it is an old building and the steep steps were hard for an older person and child in our family.
