We have recently renovated the house to a standard we think our guests will enjoy. There are 4 spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, lounge, dining room, leading on to a large kitchen with adjoining utility room with wc. Outside, there is a covered terrace with a ping-pong table and a west facing garden. The garden is mainly grass with another seating area at the far end.To the side of the house is an adjoining barn for parking. In walking distance is a friendly bar. A lake with beach is 5 mins drive. All rooms at Marona Gite are light and spacious. The outside covered area is large and great for entertaining, where you can enjoy sitting in the shade with a glass or two. There is a ping-pong table for you to have fun and laughter. At the bottom of the garden is another seating area and in between is a large grassed area for kicking a ball around.

Excellent séjour dans la grande maison de Rhona. La terrasse et le jardin, les jeux, ont été parfaits pour notre famille. Le ciel étoilé sans pollution lumineuse est magnifique. La campagne est superbe, nous nous sommes baignés dans les lacs environnants et nous avons pu voir des biches, un faisan, entendre un hibou. Génial pour les citadins que nous sommes ! Sans oublier le pub associatif du village extrêmement convivial (ne pas rater les soirées musicales)
Both my mum and brother had a great week here whilst visiting. Rhona is excellent and communication was fantastic! Lovely village and a nice bar close by with great live music. Loads of space inside and out, so if you’re a big family this is the place to spread out and feel at home.
Fabulous gite in a lovely village with a great local bar & live music. Rhona communicated extremely well to us from booking to departure. The house & gardens are amazing & much bigger than we thought & photos don’t really do it justice. Only negative is wished we’d booked for longer!! Ps bikes, table tennis & badminton loved by all.

A lovely quiet location, but in the centre of a friendly village. There is a wonderful atmospheric bar within walking distance where you can enjoy good food and listen to local bands on a Tuesday and a Friday.
Base Nautique de Verneuil, 16310 (7.4 kms from Marona Gite)
This is a beautiful lake just 5 minutes drive away. Here you will find beaches for swimming, activities like kayaking, canoeing, water assault course, sailing and horse-riding. Also there is a lovely pub/restaurant sitting on the side of the lake called the Soleil Couchant where you can sit in the sun, or whilst watching the sun go down, enjoy a cool beer and pub meal. They regularly have entertainment in the evenings.
Golf International de la Prèze - 14 Kms
If you enjoy golf, this superb golf course is only approximately 15 mins away. It has it's own restaurant, so after a round of golf one can enjoy a well deserved meal and a beer.
We supply bikes in order for you to enjoy the countryside, the nearest lake being half an hour's bike ride from the gite. Otherwise it is important to have a vehicle to get out and about.
Please note we don't supply helmets for riding the bikes.
