This is a lovely little cottage with a great backyard to soak up some California sun. Very walkable area and super close to Torrey Pines. The house had everything we needed, even some beach chairs and boogey boards! John was always very responsive and was kind enough to let us check in a couple hours early due to our travel arrangements shifting. If you want a clean, comfortable place to stay that is walkable to the beach and 10 min drive from Torrey Pines, I highly recommend staying here.

Great spot with plenty of space and a big backyard. It was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. We would definitely come back and enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed our stay in La Jolla. The cottage was very quiet and on a dead-end street. It was a short drive to all of the restaurants and Torrey Pines. We had to change the dates of our stay and I had to message the host a few times to get a response. The place was clean but it did show some wear, as it is an old place. I didn't realize there was no air conditioning - wasn't a big deal when we stayed as the nights were cool but in warmer weather may be an issue. Things to improve The bedding had some holes and a few stains and there were only a few, thin bath towels. No mattress pads on the beds, which grossed me out. The hand soaps in the bathrooms also had been watered down.
