I Cant say enough great things about this place! There’s a great swimming spot a short 10-15 minute walk down the road, and the local grocer. Dana introduced herself in passing so as to not make it awkward and invited my kids to help with some of their farm chores in the evenings. Our kids got along great and we spent a day at the lake together. If your into the slow country life away from the traffic with local farm stands and friendly people everywhere you stop, this is the place for you! You guys truly have a little slice of heaven on earth! Bobbie Dana and your daughters, Your company made our trip truly fantastic! Rae Cant wait to send a postcard from our next adventure. You guys are truly salt of the earth people. We can’t wait to come back next year.

My husband and I had a lovely 2 night stay in the Elderberry Cabin. We went there to relax after running a music festival and that's exactly what we did. We were greeted by hummingbirds that came to feed by the cabin and there were deer directly outside it a few times. The cabin was very cosy and bed comfortable.Kitchen facilities were great and we lit the campfire at night and sat beside it for a while under the stars. We heard lots of "snapping" in the woods at night so there is definitely lots of wildlife and I was surprised by a huge otter when I was leaving the toilet one evening!! We drove to nearby Duncan a few in times and went tubing on the Cowichan River. This is a great area to drive around and the views everywhere are sensational. We would definitely return again and maybe bring a few friends the next time. The location is a short drive from the Nanaimo ferry so it was perfect for our trip.

Beautiful little spot and cabins. SO peaceful and quiet. Visited Botanical Beach during my stay and it was an incredible getaway. Also, the cleanest bathroom/outhouse I have ever seen.
