They let us check in early. And the neighborhood was nice. The house was clean except for the constant roaches and all the food and toys in the couch cushions. The communication was terrible. We got no information on the house. We had to beg for 3 days just to get the code to pull the garbage out. There was no instructions on the pool or any house amenities. We got the place for the pool but they didn’t tell you that the pool heater is an extra 1000 dollars. That you must pay for upfront. Even though the owners control the temperature. This should be broken into packages. To not force a person to fork over 1000 dollars. The pool was no usable the 80% of the stay due to a massive flooding tree that dumped flowers and pollen in it 24/7 This was very disappointing. This place was not ready and they said they were not prepared, even though they let us check in early. This place is nice. But I had a terrible experience with this company. This is the 2nd time in a row this has gone bad. Each time it has been with companies who handle rentals as a 3rd party. DO NOT USE THEM. IT IS A SCAM AND A MONEY GRAB. you can use places that deal directly with the owner. It’s cheaper. You get better quality. And better service. Do not use evolve. They were not even apologetic. I wish I could show you the pictures of the roaches in the house. We woke up to a large one in our bed. Their response was “it’s that time of year” They did refund me a bit over 300 for the pool. But after seeing what it looked like, they had not choice. Then they pretended as if they didn’t know. Air bnb is just enabling companies to use your vacations for opportunities to line their bank accounts with excessive fees and sub par service.
