You cannot beat this location! It is gorgeous, right on the water! At sunset, the whole river turns pink. It´s magical. There are two kayaks for use and croquet game to set up on the big grass lot. There is a fire pit right by the water to sit and enjoy the evenings and tell camping stories. The internet was good. The cottage is adorable. Very old but very cute and everything you need is there. The outdoor shower works perfect and it is absolutely lovely to stand there and shower and look up at the trees and the sky. It is very private and no one can see you. If there was one thing people who don´t know the area should know, is that the bottom of the river is very muddy and you cannot wade out to swim. You will have to go in from the dock where it is deeper so you won´t have to touch the bottom. However, sadly, there is no ladder from the dock so I´m not sure how people get in and out. I was there in the fall so not a big need to go swimming, but there was one day I wanted to but could not figure out how to get in. But overall, absolutely amazing!

As soon as we arrived at Rosy Dawn, we were already talking about coming back. It’s a sweet cottage right on the river with the feel of a boat cabin. The private beach pass was a real plus. Rosemarie is a wonderful host. Can’t wait to return.
