A great stay in a fantastic location. The accommodation was lovely and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Cosy beds, well equipped kitchen, practical loving space and lovely views out onto the lake. Facilities on site were super and many local attractions on the doorstep if you want to venture out. Would recommend!

The various lakes at this resort are jam packed with buildings, so doesn't feel all that natural. Fortunately, we were there out of school hols so it was very low occupancy and still felt quite peaceful. The resort pools and spa is very nice. The double room has a large cot squeezed in, which wasn't listed on Airbnb, which made the room feel cramped and restrict access to the patio door. Overall, the hospitality wasn't up to the standards we're used to with Airbnb. This may be because you're not renting from the owner, but instead "Cottages", who in turn pass on their responsibilities to the resort team at Lower Mill Estate. Replies to Airbnb messages were non existent, the supply of amenities were insufficient (e.g. 2 loo rolls and 2 d/washer tablets for a wk's stay for 4 pers) and there were a number of bikes and a canoe stored on the lower deck, presumably the owners' as they were padlocked and unavailable for guest use. There was also a used toddler toilet/potty left behind.

Stunning accommodation, beautiful views & very convenient to get to Ballihoo Hub & Spa for swimming. Does need a bit of a deep clean I had a young baby who kept throwing his dummy & it was covered in fluff/dust everytime we picked it up, also found a used plaster under the bedside table. Just a couple of things about the site itself; Ballihoo restaurant is tiny you must to prebook if you want any chance of getting in. The onsite shop isn't really a "shop" there were very limited items but nothing practical no fresh fruit or any kind of meat or any practical for lunch apart from fresh bread. Not much is priced up so its very expensive (jar of mayo & bag of pasta £9.50! Whilst we were there the whole of Ballihoo got closed due to short staff including the restaurant, shop, bar/cafe & pizza shack an absolute nightmare when you have booked with young children & have to travel offsite to find an alternative. Lastly be prepared for a long wait for hot drinks, 20 minute wait on all 3 days
