"Peace and quiet" - this is the place for you! La Prise de Bas is a delightful property surrounded by beautiful fields, trees and hiking trails. The house has two bedrooms, let separately. Room 1 with a king sized bed and room 2 with 4 single beds -together perfect for families or couples alike. Downstairs there is a lounge shared with room 2 with log burner and TV. Outside the house is a garden, patio and parking. Excursions offered: D-Day landings Zoo Mont Saint Michel Bayeux Falaise Bedroom 1: King sized double bed with sofa, bedside cabinets, chest of drawers and wardrobe. TV and DVD player. Bedroom 2: 2 single beds with 2 further trundle beds (can sleep a total of 4) best suited for children and teenagers. Wardrobe and sets of drawers. TV and DVD player. Shared (between bedroom 1 and bedroom 2) bathroom: shower, sink, toilet, and a separate lounge.

Nous avons passé une nuit chez Ian, à l'occasion de notre trip à vélo Paris Mont Saint Michel. C'est un lieu très calme, absolument parfait pour se reposer en pleine nature. La maison est tres jolie et le jardin très plaisant ! Ian et Caroline sont des hotes très attentionnés qui ont été aux petits soins. Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir ! Ariane et Bruno
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour chez Ian. La maison est très jolie dans un environnement très calme. Tout est très propre et le petit-déjeuner formidable. La communication est aisée, Ian parle très bien français.
Ian and Carolyn were the most welcoming, friendly and generous hosts, including helping us book restaurants in the evening and lots of local tips. The rooms were beautiful and provided perfect, peaceful private space for our family, including a spacious living room. Great continental breakfast. The countryside and villages in the area were lovely to explore. We would love to come back!

Staying at Ian 's and Carolyn's place was a like a fairytale! We were hosted in two spacious bedrooms one for our 4 membered family and one for our friend.But we also could use a beautiful living room with a huge fireplace at the ground floor. Rooms and bathroom were shining clean, linen and towels were provided also as well as showgel. In the room there was the option of having coffee and biscuits. Breakfast was served in the living room and was of extraordinary quality (croissants, bread,french cheese, marmelades,juice,milk,cereal)Ian and Carolyn are two wonderful people very warm, communicative and helpful with providing information for sightseeing and dining in the area. They also had lego blocks and toys our kids to play. The garden was peaceful and beautiful to sit and enjoy your coffee also.We highly recommend this place for all the above and also because it's close to Normandy's sightseeing places like D-Day beaches, Mont St.Michel and Suisse Normande hiking pathways.
