The Airbnb was homey and convenient to many things. Kathy was a wonderful host! We were greeted with a snack basket which we devoured. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked, and there were many nice touches like pastas and other non-perishables available to guests. She even provided milk in the fridge for coffee. There was also an assortment of toiletries available in the bathroom in case you forgot something. Highly recommend!

Kathy’s place is more upscale than the typical Airbnb because it was a mother in law garage apartment. It has very good kitchen ware including spices. There was food in the pantry so you did not have to immediately go to the supermarket including coffee, tea, hot chocolate and a small container of milk. I used the yoga mat almost every day of our 9 day stay. There were many hangers in the closet and a chest of drawers for our clothes. Street parking was always available. We walked all around to the Rothko chapel, to our favorite resale store, The Cottage, to breakfast in River Oaks and happy hour at Hugo’s and breakfast at Empire Cafe the next street over, Westheimer. We come to Houston often because we live out of state and have grand babies in Houston. We hope Kathy’s place is available the next time we come to Houston.

This was the perfect spot for a weekend in Houston (tho it would also make a good base for a long term stay). The location has more amenities than you can even take in. Grocery, dining & retail shops all waking distance, as well as the art museums. The place was cute, well stocked with supplies, and private. Kathy was super responsive on messages and even tho we never actually met in person she made us feel right at home. As well, the price was really reasonable for everything that was entailed. I was traveling with a friend so she took the bedroom and I had the futon/daybed.

Bright, cheerful and comfortable garage apartment in great central neighborhood. Walking distance to Menil and Rothko Chapel as well as bars, restaurants, and vintage shops. Hosts were wonderful. Will definitely stay there again.
