Lovely house and great location for exploring the coast around Solva and St Davids. Easy access to a small local shop, lovely Solva harbour and the Pembrokeshire Coast. Jes was a welcoming host and the house was great for a family stay.
There were seven of us and we had plenty of space. All of us found the house very clean, tidy, comfortable and well appointed. I'd say that, although it looks good on the photos, it's actually even nicer than it looks. The shop a few doors away is excellent and friendly also, as others say. The front yard is small and paved and the road in front of the house is moderately busy. In order to visit the village or go anywhere interesting, I did need a car for one member of our party who was 80 and not very mobile, but the local walking paths were fine for the rest of us. The harbour is about 10 minutes walk away, and swimming coves are a trip by car or a 20 minute walk to a local one (which is fairly spectacular walk, when you get to the coastal path). I would definitely recommend the house, as one of the best we've stayed in on our dozen or so airbnb stays
Lovely spacious house in a great location - really loved the downstairs as it was set out so well, and the 7 of us could all be together comfortably. I didn’t realise Solve was such a beautiful place and will be returning in the future.
We had a lovely stay in Sova at Jes and David's house. It is ideally located to walk to Solva and the beach and a short drive or bus to Newgale or Whitesands. The boys loved the milkshake station next door in the shop. House is well equipped with a great kitchen for those meals in. Outside space is a little limited, but with so much lovely coastline on your doorstep this isn't an issue, and will be fab when the garden is finished. Don't miss the walk along the coast path to Pointz Castle with a great ice cream to recharge before following the footpath inland back to Solva. Would definitely recommend.
Jes's house is amazing - it has everything you need and more! Perfect location, only a few minutes walk from the beach, 10 seconds from the best shop in Solva that sells absolutely everything and the house itself is wonderful. The kitchen is very well equipped, the bathrooms have great showers and a spacious lounge with plenty of seating - thank you!
The beautiful village of Solva lies on the north side of St Bride's Bay, within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Our house is in Upper Solva, with views out across the bay.
Parking is available right outside the gate.
There are also busses into St Davids, Fishgaurd and Haverfordwest . Additionally coastal buses can take you all around the coast of the peninsula making access to coves, beaches and hot spots easy without a car.
