Charming apartment, surrounded by restaurants and cafes, in a perfect position to explore the city on foot. Definitely recommended!
We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very nice, cozy and well equipped.
It is a good apartment but not worth what we paid for it. The bathroom layout was very poor (you need to squeeze between the shower and basin to reach the loo. The tile grout and sealant in the shower was mouldy. Also the second bed was a sofa bed which when folded out blocks the main door. The main apartment space is really nice though but the overall impression is not as good as the photos as the chair upholstery is now very damaged. The location wasn’t really for us as we preferred less touristy areas where the food etc was much cheaper. However, noise was not a problem for us and the beds very comfortable.

From City:
When you arrive at Central Station (T-Centralen), take metro green line 18 towards Farsta strand or green line 17 towards Skarpnäck to the station Gamla Stan (1 stop). Get off at Gamla Stan station, take exit Gamla Stan. When you go up on Munkbrogatan Street, head straight onto Schönfeldts Grand Street for 100 meters, then turn left onto Stora Nygatan, you will reach us on the right-hand side in about 100 meters. The total journey should take about 5 minutes.
To City:
It is possible to walk from the Central Station (T-Centralen ) to ApartDirect Gamla Stan II
Walk to Gamla Stan subway station, take metro green line 18 towards Alvik, red line 13 towards Ropsten, or red line 14 towards Mörby Centrum. Get off at Central Station (next stop). The journey by train takes 3 min.
Driving in the Old Town:
Please note you can only drive on the streets in the Old Town from 06.00 to 11:00 (5 hours), otherwise, it is forbidden. You will need to walk about 300-400 meters on the cobbled streets to reach the apartment.
Parking:
ApartDirect Gamla Stan II has no parking facilities of its own. Parking in the Old Town is expensive, and it is easy to get a fine. It is possible to park on the street, fees vary, after 18.00 the parking is usually free, please check the signs carefully.
We recommend using the parking at the square Birger Jarls Torg (350 m away). Address: Stockholms Stads Parkerings, Birger Jarls Torg
