Ice was such a nice person who made my room very clean and welcoming, she responded to my late calls and answered my questions! Thank you so much Ice and hopefully we'll meet again!

I will start off by saying Ice herself is a very sweet person. Her husband? Disrespectful, rude, dishonest and extremely judgmental. I came to the house and I was waiting outside until I finally got a response with the check-in information. When I DID receive it, I started walking towards the front door and then suddenly Ice & her husband appeared opening the door. The look on his face was probably something I’ll never forget. I could tell the moment he saw my boyfriend and I he was judging us and he very obviously didn’t seem to like what he saw - why I don’t know, but neither of us dress in dirty clothes and my partner wasn’t wearing “gangster” clothes or anything. So I’m not sure, but anyways. Then he asked for our ID and to send it to Ice - I had a hard copy of my ID but my partner only had an electronic copy of his because he had lost his wallet at the beginning of the month so he’s still waiting for his to come in the mail. When he first asked for our ID he asked us to SEND it to them... but when he found out my partner didn’t have his hard copy of his ID (which he didn’t need if he has a copy on his phone already and he was requesting it be electronically sent) he starts DEMANDING $30 for a no ID fee apparently.... this came out of nowhere. It doesn’t say anything about this in the house rules, check in process (or I should say non existent check-in instructions - I had to wait for a response after paying without requesting to book, and then got nervous when I didn’t get a response for almost an hour). I didn’t have cash in me and I honestly wasn’t paying $30 because the guest I had with me didn’t have his hard copy ID. Finally after like 5mins of back and forth he said ok it’s done (even though I heard his wife call him from inside - she had gone in just before he started demanding the money from us - to tell him don’t worry about it just let it go it’s okay - but he kept going trying to get the money). So finally he says ok whatever it’s fine after looking at my ID and my partners electronic copy.... he opens the door and basically SHOOS us into the first room that’s right in the front on the main floor. However, that’s not the room I booked and paid for and also before they actually saw us (and again, OBVIOUSLY JUDGED US) Ice had just texted me the check-in instructions and where my room was.... my room was supposed to be on the second floor. The husband didn’t give a crap about anything and was very, VERY rude. The room we got put in - the door was extremely messed up and hardly closed, unless u PUSHED it really hard which resulted in a loud bang for the entire house to hear - very awkward when both u and ur partner have to leave the room to use the bathroom before bed, so we had to shut the door twice - and I received a text saying there was guests in the next room & to be quiet.... umm, pretty sure I am also a guest and if u guys hadn’t put me in this room (the one I did not book) then there wouldn’t be an issue with that - secondly; even IF I had booked that room - fix your door! Third - I felt good about booking the room up until I met the husband. I will NEVER book here again, it wasn’t even worth the price for the way we were treated. Aside from that, around 11:30pm at night the building/house that’s attached to the house we were in, some guy was mad at his girlfriend or something and was screaming at them to come outside and broke 2 windows. Right next to our room pretty much. Who he as LOUD, and scary as hell because at fist we weren’t even sure if he was outside our room or what the heck had happened. None of the owners came to check what was up or anything - so I’m assuming with the area it’s in, they’re used to that kind of stuff? Anyways, horrible extremely rude husband. Would not recommend.

Great place in downtown! Amazing value! I would recommend wihout doubt this place! Friendly host and very present! Host do anything that you need!
