Casinha do Barreiro is situated in a private and peaceful corner of the Santa Barbara parish. With views of Pico Alto and the Atlantic you will find peace and tranquilty here. A two minute walk to Miradouro do Barreiro and the start of the 'Fajãzinha trail'. Also closely located to the trails at Norte and Santa Barbara. The cottage is a walk to Santa Barbara village where you will find a shop and cafe. 125cc Scooter and Mountain Bikes available onsite. Reserve in advance. This two bedroom cottage is perfect for adventure lovers, couples, a family or remote workers. It is connected with fast internet includes private parking and plenty of work space. A large garden is adjacent to the house where guests can relax at the end of the day and soak up the sunset and the views of Sao Miguel. With an outdoor terrace and BBQ facilities dining here is a pleasure. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, dining table and chairs inside, a wood fire stove(wood is provided), a large sofa to chill out on and a small library to choose a book or a game from. A large bathroom with shower is situated to the rear. You will feel at home here. We look forward to your visit.

De location is perfect, the host is very attentive and the garden is great to hang around. An important remark tho, is that the bed is like a hard plank. This made the stay less comfortable. If you don't mind this, I would recommend.
Que dire!?! C'est une petite maisonnette très bien équipée, avec place de parking privée ( besoin de véhicule pour y venir)... Une véritable maison de poupée tout confort. difficile de trouver un défaut. J'ai du réservé 3 nuits pour y accéder, même si je savais que je n'y resterais que 2 nuits... et je n'ai aucun remords de ce choix! Je recommande fortement, et si je reviens à Santa Maria... j'y relogerais!
We enjoyed our stay in this simple, comfortable, and private cottage. We enjoyed the beautiful and peaceful views from the outdoor sitting area. Our children enjoyed a game of horseshoes and exploring the outdoor property, which had plenty of space to run and play. The house had everything we needed and we truly enjoyed our time here. It was very close to town and not far from a beautiful beach. Aideen was very responsive, friendly, and helpful.
The house is in such an amazing location and so incredibly peaceful. The surrounding countryside is so quiet you immediately feel tranquil and calm. There is everything you need in the house and I was able to rent a bike to ride around the local area. Everything was very clean and I loved the furnishings. There were lots of spaces to put things. You were able to open the windows and get a cross breeze flowing through which I appreciated. Sitting at the outside table and just appreciating the amazing outlook and sense of serenity was a highlight
Onberispelijk en met veel liefde georganiseerd is dit verblijf van Aideen. De inrichting is gemaakt door een hout-kunstenaar. Prachtige omgeving en in het huis is aan alles gedacht. Alle informatie over het eiland is verzameld in een map en ligt voor je klaar. Aideen is behulpzaam en pro actief.
