ALL WHEEL DRIVE NECESSARY steep 30-degree inclined driveway with large potholes, inaccessible in front wheel drive car. This should be in the title!!! Fortunately neighbors were very kind to let us park at the bottom of the shared driveway in their guest parking and hike the 0.3mi uphill to the house. Beautiful space and nice hot tub. Porch with termite infestation raining down bits of wood debris, understandable for remote location in the woods but needs an exterminator. Kitchen with dishes available and coffeepot, however with no k-cups or teas available. Overall good space but a few touchups would make it perfect. Enjoyed our stay!

This place was perfect for our weekend getaway. It’s a peaceful home with lots of nature. The hot tub and pool table were such an awesome addition to the stay! We would love to come back.

Stayed for an extended weekend trip with the family. Home was so beautiful and peaceful. There was lots to do and I would definitely stay again and recommend to others!

Adrienne was quick to respond to any questions. We got there during March Madness & couldn’t get Direct TV to work (not her fault!). She con’t to help troubleshoot until it worked. :-) As the post clearly states (& Adrienne personally double checked) you DO need 4 wheel drive. The last mile(ish) is a deeply rutted gravel road that requires it. The 2 cats were friendly and hung around on the decks. If you hear a “bump in the night” don’t get spooked: it’s only the huge, fat raccoon eating the cat food. Ha!! A drawback for me was the lack of being able to open windows. I love to sleep with windows open, but there weren’t any in the master bedroom nor in the basement bedroom. There were huge glass double doors and high ceiling windows so there was lots of sunlight, just not the fresh mountain air. (We couldn’t leave the double doors open due to the cats trying to get in.) Many people wouldn’t see this as a problem, it’s just my preference to be able to open windows.

my friends and I had a great time! if you don't have a car that can get up steep inclines then the place isn't right for you. beautiful view! there are 2 cats that are beautiful kitty cats. travel to asheville was only 25-30 mins
