Greyabbey offers the gateway to visit Co. Down on the Ards Peninsula. it offers walks in nature, historical sites and close to one of the number one wedding venue in Northern Ireland the Orange Tree. The village has a number of restaurants; it also has great facilities from pubs, shops etc.
You are also a short drive away from Portaferry, the stunning seaside village with its many bars and restaurants and the aquarium for the kids. For the Games of Thrones fans, this is the place you can jump on the ferry for the short trip across to Strangford, where you will be 10 mins from Castle Ward where Winterfell was set. You will be able to walk round the site and see where all the action took place.
For the walker in you, you are a 5-minute drive from Mount Stewart with its stunning grounds and wildlife. If you want an adventure, why not try some paddle boarding on strangford lough.
Belfast is a 40/50 min drive away where you can spend the day shopping or walking around the city taking in the sites. Or you are 7 mins drive to Newtownsards a town filled with shops, bars, restaurants and historical sites to explore.
