This exceptional and very ancient house sleeps six and has a large kitchen, a dining room, a good-sized sitting room and a large outbuilding that we’ve converted in an artist’s/writer’s studio/hang out space complete with a wood burner. There is a proper custom-built sauna in the grounds, complete with the requisite cold shower for the full sauna experience. There is also a signature wood-fired hot tub to relax in. We have completed a major refurbishment and decorated the house with very best fabrics and fittings and no detail has been left unattended to. There’s a mixture of antique and modern furniture; everything at Cuttieshillock is the best that we could find. Cuttieshillock is around 4 miles from the main hub of Glen Dye and sits on the northern edge of the Glen Dye forest with amazing views in all directions and endless walks and adventures on your doorstep. If you don’t want to get into the car during your stay, you really won’t have to. And, when we say Cuttieshillock (or just Cutties as it’s known locally) is ancient, we really mean it. For centuries it was an inn and troops rested there before battle in the Jacobite Rebellion (that’s nearly 300 years ago).
