It was very clear we were staying at someone home that had left for the weekend for us to stay. Dressers were full of clothes, cabinets cluttered and completely full of her personal belongings, including medications and used razors in the bathroom. No room for us to out our own stuff or feel comfortable. We were aware there would be cats but there was cat throw up on the floor in the living room when we arrived and cats pooped in their cat beds instead of the litter. We had to go out and buy candles because of the smell the house had. The garbage was almost full alone arrival as well, with no cleaning supplies or dish soap. it was just overall a strange experience

Gina was nice and I was grateful that she was able to accommodate us last minute when our original booking was canceled. Nice house and backyard, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t say that I wished it had been more clear in the listing that this was someone’s full time home. We weren’t sent any kind of checkin instructions like usual, and ended up getting a message around 3:40 that she was leaving and we could come if we wanted. Nice to be invited early, but it started the whole trip off feeling like we were kicking this person out of their house and they weren’t too happy about it. If I’m being totally honest, the house was cluttered, uncomfortable, and had random things stuffed in corners. We didn’t mind the cats honestly but it did kind of underscore the feeling of having invaded someone’s space. My mom ended up sleeping on the couch because she felt weird sleeping in the owner’ bed, which had 2 cat beds placed on top of it, seemingly as a nudge that they were not to be moved.

Cozy cottage with a stunning backyard lake view. The bathrooms were very clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. We will book here again in the future.

We stayed a second weekend due to car trouble. Gina was so nice, and we enjoyed her place so much we stayed there again when we came back to pick up our car. This time, we had a fire in the pit and sat outside by the lake morning and night. We would come back again!

Excellent host, nice place for us to stay. Gina did an excellent job of decorating the place, and we felt very comfortable as soon as we walked in the door. We would love to come back and use the beautiful backyard and fire pit sometime!
