We really loved our stay here, a lovey quirky cottage. Good to read up about it's history. We were lucky enough to see a beautiful sunset and sunrise, not may place you have a fantastic view of both! Loved watching the changing tides. Great welcome at Pebbles Tavern, plenty of places to eat in Watchet, we especially liked the Spice Merchant. Would highly recommend staying at Sammy Hakes Cottage and look forward to a return visit.

Amazing home from home in a truly quirky cottage and fantastic location! Loved hearing and seeing the sea 🌊 and loved the lookout! Great walks and great pubs and places to eat. Take an eye mask if you are a light sleeper! Thank you for letting us stay 😊

A beautiful little cottage in a wonderful location, I was on my own in need of some photography and relaxation and the gorgeous cottage was perfect I felt really safe and at home and when the weather got bad I was able to do some photography through the lounge window :-) I hope to return very soon xx

We spent a few days at Fisherman's cottage also known as Sammy Hakes cottage to welcome in 2024 The Cottage was very comfortable warm and cosy. It was in a prime position overlooking the harbour and within easy walking distance of all amenities. We loved Watchet and great to read about the cottage and local history. We pre-booked West Street residence carpark with the local coucil who were very helpful.

A wonderful place to stay. Peaceful and cosy, easy to reach all Watchet amenities. Had everything you would need for a stay. We especially enjoyed the watchtower, a cosy place to read and relax whilst watching the changing tides.
