Wharf Cottage is a beautiful oasis with two lovely outdoor areas and all the home comforts including extra blankets and the fireplace all ready to be lit. The home-baked muffins on arrival made us feel very welcome. If you have a fur baby who likes to swim it is just a short walk down to the wharf and is a safe area and picturesque on a crystal clear day and easy walking distance into town. Linda is a wonderful host and went out of her way for us, so much so that we have already booked to come back. I would highly recommend staying at Wharf Cottage.

We loved our stay in Tairua, a great little 2 bed Bach that was extremely well equipped, clean & tidy & cosy. The welcome gifts of freshly baked muffins, milk & bread with spreads was a lovely touch. Kitchen was well equipped with all that you’d need, 2 good size double bedrooms with comfy beds, lovely lounge area with big TV, wood burner & 2x elec heaters to keep warm. A nice little dining area looking out to the garden which was fully fenced & 2 sitting areas with an off road drive & 2 grass areas, perfect for our Labrador who came with us. Really close to the Tairua river & estuary, just a 2 min walk to a little reserve to walk the dog & stunning views. 10-15 min walk into town for the shops & restaurants. A perfect spot to explore Tairua and the. Coromandel. We really enjoyed our 3 nights & would highly recommend. Thank you!

We extended our trip to NZ at the last minute and decided to explore the Coromandel peninsula. It's at at great location. close to the main street, wharf, and a bakery. wish we had more time to enjoy everything the house had to offer. Linda had water in the Kettle and coffee maker, and fresh muffins waiting for us . .... and so many other small details that just made it a wow experience. I work in a luxury hotel resort in Las Vegas, so I can really appreciate all that goes into making someone's stay amazing. I found lots of details attended to in this house that made our stay wonderful. I highly recommend clicking here and staying. I will check availability here here first when we return again. The Wharf Cottage was an incredible stay for us on the Coromandel Penninsula. Located close to the river, it was a delight to walk down and watch the sun rise over the water every morning. While the cottage (which was beautiful, and much better supplied than your average AirBnB) stood out as a comfortable, gorgeous, and safe home base, it was Linda’s hospitality which made this visit exceptional. She anticipated so many of our questions and was exceedingly generous with time (and lemon curd!). If we lived in NZ this would be a frequent return for us.

The Wharf Cottage was well situated, well equipped and immaculate - perfect for a multi day stay. Self check in instructions were clear and easy to do. We were even welcomed with fresh muffins for our afternoon tea. Beds were comfy, and the kitchen included a dish washer. Linda has thought of so many extras, such as a loaf of Voels in the freezer, a blow dryer in the shower room, and an electric fan in the bedroom for the hot summer nights. My only regret was that we weren't able to stay longer!
