The glamping site is located on a private 4-hectare property near Genappe, 30 minutes from Brussels, but a world away. Dozens of hectares of rolling hills around the property provide a feeling of isolation as your private campsite opens up onto peaceful views of woods, grassland & wildlife. Experience living completely immersed in nature, at the intersection of a beautiful native forest and protected grassland, and feel the stress melt away in this 100% peaceful environment. This is a truly special place, and many find it surprising that it can exist so close to Brussels. With all sorts of wildlife coming within meters of the tent (don't be surprised if you see families of deer, rabbits, raptors, herons and of course butterflies), this is an immersive experience into nature. We ask that you respect the silence onsite and allow our other guests to benefit from the quietness too. Bachelor parties, birthdays or any other parties with drinking involved are not suited . Despite it being a camping experience, it is surprisingly well equipped and comfortable. The listing includes: - A 24 m2 glamping canvas tent at the far end of an orchard; - Your own private space on a 4-hectare farm-in-the-making; - An outdoor fireplace; - Four 80cm-wide beds with a mattress and a pillow; - A solar-powered mini-fridge; - Solar-powered 220V electricity & USB plugs; - An outdoor dining table; - An outdoor kitchen with sink (no hot water!) and gas burner; - A comfortable and large outhouse with dry toilet; Two important remarks: 1/ Our project: We are turning a former landfill into a holistic and productive micro-farm, trying to regenerate the local ecosystems at the same time. If you walk around on the property, you might notice remains of debris (glass, metal, plastic). We are working hard to turn this formally neglected piece of land into a little paradise, and appreciate your patience in the meantime. 2/ Summer 2022 is our second year hosting on the land. Please come with a beginner's mind as there is a lot we need to learn and improve. We'd love if you could share your feedback and ideas with us. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Q: Can I get to the tent without a car? A: Our property is very isolated. Unless you bring your bike with you, any public transportation’s closest stop will be a little too far away for a walk. Q: Do I need to bring linens? A: Nope! The beds will be ready for you. Q: Does the tent have a shower? A: While the tent doesn’t have a shower, you’ll be able to use one of our outdoor showers on the property (at a 1-min walk from the tent). Shampoo and body wash are provided, but not towels. Q: How will I receive the key? A: Keys are not needed to access the tent. Q: Is breakfast included? A: No it isn't. Most guests know exactly what they want and bring their own. Q: I am looking for a last-minute stay. Can I make a same-day booking? A: Yes, but as noted above, you’ll need to wait for my reply. In other words, you’ll only be able to book last minute if I see your message on time. It doesn’t hurt to ask though. Q: Do you exceptionally allow early check-ins? A: Unfortunately not. Our cleaner needs every second she has to prepare the place. Q: I know it says "No Animals". Can I bring my small/well-behaved dog? We love dogs, but this place is gradually becoming a working farm, so we can not allow animals. Please don't try to sneak one in.
