建议在岛上租车，因为这里的巴士很久才有一趟。 离房子最近的bus站是88号“原入口”。 房子里设施十分齐全，调料、咖啡、茶、意面，驱蚊剂、洗漱用品等等。 在这里住会有家的感觉，很温馨。 夜里十分安静，能有很好的睡眠。

A beautiful timber house in a great location. You can hear the ocean from the front door and one of Yakushima’s dramatic mountains looms over you at the back. Very clean, very spacious, lots of tea and coffee provided. Great communication and a short drive to towns, shops, bars, restaurants, onsens and walks. Seemed like very good value compared to hotels, however it seems there are cheaper, smaller places available on Air BnB if that’s what you’re after. The only thing worth mentioning is that there’s a security camera attached to the house which regularly makes a “ping” noise when it sees something, including all through the night. Perhaps this can be disabled or muted, as it gives you the sense you’re being watched the whole time you’re there! Otherwise, a brilliant and highly convenient place. Highly recommended.

We wish we could have stayed longer! The place was beautiful, clean, and spacious. The host really thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and convenient— from hot spring cover ups and umbrellas to shopping bags and rain gear. The beds were also very comfortable and we had the best sleep on our trip. We were also able to wash and dry our clothes. Definitely try the amazing soaking bathtub as well. We can’t wait to come back to Yakushima and would love to stay here again. Thank you!

Firstly, before we even got to the property, the host set us up with a rental car. We had a very hard time getting a rental car, which is a must here. When at home, we were not able to book a car. We got to Japan 2 weeks before we got to Yakushima and could not find a car the entire time prior. All booked. On very short notice, the host hooked us up with a car from a great rental car company. Saved our trip. If you are looking for an authentic Japanese housing experience, this property will give it to you in spades. From the tatami rooms to the lofts and the connected deck off the house to sit, this house is truly the full Japanese experience. Beautiful house and garden. Well located. As it’s close to major sites. The host has thoughtfully appointed the house with every amenity imaginable and all well labeled. Kitchen was fully stocked. Just get meats and veg from supermarket that’s 5 minutes away. We loved Yakushima and look to return. We would stay here again.
