This is our 2nd time staying at the Fischer’s Little Homestead and enjoyed it just as much as we did the first time. Beautiful location and we loved playing with their 3 black kitties. It felt like we were in the country yet restaurants and stores were only 15 mins away. We enjoyed hikes and activities near Spearfish and Custer Park so this was a great home base since it was in-between both. Perfect place for two with a comfortable king bed, spacious bathroom and a little kitchen.

Tastefully decorated (my husband loved the shower) and homey. So much to do in the area, that we came back at night and crashed. The only thing that was less than ideal was the proximity to the road, but that did not keep us from sleeping!

The host was extremely nice and friendly. The space was very clean, cute, and cozy. The dog and kittens were entertaining during our evenings on the patio and the farm fresh eggs from the chickens were delicious! This was the perfect “home base” for our hiking around the Rapid City area. The Little Homestead had everything we could have needed.

The Homestead was a wonderful place to stay. Enjoyed being met by Nova, the chickens and kittens; loved the shower and the Turkish towels; comfy bed; the fresh colorful eggs (I now know how to cook eggs in a microwave and will continue to do so). Definitely a place where I would stay again. I’m not at all certain that the following comments will be a concern but just an FYI: during our stay the Homestead was in an area where there was neither cell phone service (said "SOS only") nor data (LTE) connections for our Verizon phones. And for some strange reason our phones were unable to access the Homestead WiFi until our last night there (my iPad was able to access the WiFi). Also, I was a bit confused at first with the host contact called Evolve. Rather than communicating with the owners of the property like most Airbnb’s, you are actually writing to a third party - a service that then contacts the owners.
