The villa is located in the middle of the hills with a beautiful view of the valley and about 30 minutes by car from Malaga. A small white mountain village, Almogia, is about 3-4 minutes drive away. There is a small supermarket with everything you need. Also a small bakery and various bars/tapas bars and restaurants. Nothing earth shattering but sufficient and authentic. In our opinion, a car is absolutely necessary, even if you could actually use the bus connections to Malaga several times a day. Before arrival we received the address of the villa from the owner and also a Google Maps link. We used the google maps link and were directed to the villa with no problems. From Malaga airport in about 40 minutes to the house. But before that we bought the groceries for the next 2 days in a Lidl. Many large Lidl branches around Malaga, very good selection and much cheaper than, for example, Mercadona or Carrefour. The owner also offered us 2 types of "check in". Either a personal welcome at a fixed time at the house or an independent check-in with a key box and code. When we first arrived at the villa we were pleasantly surprised. Everything looked more impressive than in the photos. The pool is great. Big and very clean. In the house you immediately feel that the owners have created a comfortable home with great attention to detail. The best materials have been used in the house itself. Everything looks very new and modern. Except for 1 dining room, all rooms have air conditioning. The very large kitchen with a huge cooking island is the dream of every amateur cook. We really enjoyed sitting there together for breakfast in the morning and we also enjoyed cooking there together. The kitchen is equipped with all imaginable utensils. Perfect. Outside there is a chill-out terrace under the pool with tables and chairs, a very comfortable outdoor sofa corner, 2 cool hammocks and 1 football table. All with a beautiful view of the mountains. We sat here almost every evening and enjoyed the sunset. We (family of 2 adults and 3 small children) really enjoyed our vacation in the villa. For us it was just perfect. The whole villa with the big plot was only for us. We only had 1 contact with the owner via Whats App because of a small problem, which was solved immediately. You could tell that the owner takes great care to ensure that the guests are well. You also feel safe there. We would recommend the villa to anyone looking for a retreat in the midst of the beautiful Andalusian nature, with complete privacy and yet a luxurious ambience. With best regards from Germany!
