Hosh al-Subbar is a gem amidst olive groves and shepherd fields. The view is stunning. Ameer and his family are the most welcoming hosts you can imagine. The room is bright with an exit to a rooftop. There is a well-equipped kitchen downstairs. It is possible to reach the place by public transportation. Just take bus 234 from Damascus Gate until crossing 300. From there take a taxi to Beit Sahour (ca. 25 NIS). Hosh al-Subbar is absolutely recommended for whoever searched for some peace and quietude.

Es una casa de piedra con 120 años de antigüedad y mucho encanto. Tiene un estanque, un patio y una gran azotea para disfrutar del exterior asi como un gran salon al aire libre y una cocina cubierta que se puede utilizar. Tanto Veronica la joven que lo lleva, como la madre de Ameer fueron muy atentas y estaban siempre disponibles. Verónica termina a las 4 y solo trabaja 3 dias a la semana mientras que los anfitriones viven en la casa de al lado. Es un ambiente muy familiar pero si es cierto que al estar tan a desmano no esta lleno. Por lo que te da la sensación de soledad cuando regresas de las excursiones diarias. Hay parking gratuito y otra cosa que nos encanto es que te permiten salir a la hora que quieras, en nuestro caso a las 6 pm. Como digo el personal es maravilloso y muy dispuesto pero la ubicación para nosotras fue muy lejana. Acabas gastando mucho en taxis o te quedas aislado. La habitacion muy agradable con esa azotea. Me fallo que entraba luz por las ventanas.

Beautiful old home set in the hills of Beit Sahour! Ameer, his mother and family are extremely hospitable and made me feel right at home! The place is very clean and a great deal for the price. If it's your first time in Palestine, this is a great place to stay because you'll be made to feel like a member of the family. This is a much better option than staying in a hotel.

Wonderful place to stay! An old house that has been restored to modern comforts. It's quite a walk from Bethlehem, but the tranquility and beautiful surroundings more than make up for the long and uphill walks. Lovely hosts and breakfast. Nothing but gratitude to Ameer and his mother for the lovely Christmas experience in Bethlehem and in their lovely property.
