A lovely stay with generous hosts who were the perfect balance of being responsive and respecting my independence. Add to that an excellent kitchen, comfortable bed, fast wifi, hot shower, and a covered, locked shed to store my bike. Thanks for a great stay, Birgitte!

I stayed 10 days. The room is light, bright, comfy and cosy -perfect size for 1 person. If you are a couple, consider her other listing for the room next door instead, which is also delightful and much bigger. The kitchen is very well appointed with kettle, oven, dishwasher and excellent quality, clean, new crockery, cutlery and cookware. I really felt that they valued their guests and ensured that all that’s needed is available - including lots of clothes hangers, pillows, tea towels, washer and dryer, Netflix, power points, lighting. The room has excellent privacy as well with a private entrance. It’s about a 5min walk to the bus that goes into the city - about a 25-40mins trip. Or it’s an 850m walk to the train station- then 15mins into the city. I hired a bike for a week in Nyhavn ( very cheap for a week) and rode the bike to the train, took it on the train, and then rode it easily in the city and back. It was so much fun and so easy. I highly recommend it. I even rode around the huge nature park each day - just down the street from the house - great fun! Make sure you also look into the Copenhagen Card (at a cost) to see attractions for free and get free public transport. A lovely quiet neighborhood and place to stay. Just be aware though that you will more than likely be woken up at 6:30am until 8am by the loud, heavy footsteps above your room ( from the host’s kitchen) as they prepare to go to work. So bring earplugs for the morning. It’ll really help. Other than that it’s a delightful place to stay. I recommend it.

Birgitte’s place is in a great location to catch the bus to get into and out of the city easily. The room is spacious for one and the kitchen was excellent.

I absolutely loved my stay here. I arrived late at night and was able to let myself in. I wasn’t well during my stay so it was perfect to have a very hygge-ligt room. The bus was really easy to get into town. I would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Das Zimmer und die kleine Küche sind sehr nah an den Photos. Es gefiel mir sehr gut. Die Küche ist gut geeignet zum Bereiten kleiner Mahlzeiten und ist in gemütlichem dänischen Stil eingerichtet mit Sinn fürs Detail. Einziger Wermutstropfen ist, das Zimmer liegt im Souterrain und die Decke wackelt knarrt relativ laut, wenn jemand drüben läuft. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön mit viel Grün. Würde jederzeit wieder buchen.
