We have four areas to comment on. First and foremost, Michael and Ed are the perfect hosts - they could not do enough to help, advise and to make our stay as enjoyable and rewarding as possible. Second, Ser La Luz is a little piece of paradise. Our room was tastefully decorated and appointed and provided everything we needed for our comfort and preparation of simple meals. Third, their amenities are a reflection of their thoughtful touches. These include the patio, which allowed quiet reading in the sun and shade during the afternoon and provided spectacular views of the countryside and each evening’s sunset. The hot tub was in pristine condition although we somehow never got round to using it. The yoga studio and Ed’s instruction are second to none. The yard is brimming with fruit trees and flowering plants and is a source for each breakfast. Finally, the area has many things to do and places to visit. We recommend Poas Volcano and La Paz waterfall gardens. As a final note, Michael and Ed made us feel like we were part of their family. We can not recommend them and their Costa Rican Retreat more highly. We plan to return.

Das erste was auffällt ist die unglaubliche Aussicht und Ruhe. Wir waren in einem großen Zimmer mit Küche, essbereich und eigen Bad untergebracht. Zu unseren Verfügung standen zudem ein schoener Garten, eine große Terrasse und ein jacuzzi. Michael und Ed sind zurückhaltende Gastgeber aber immer zur Stelle wenn man fragen hat oder Hilfe benötigt. Ihre Tipps waren immer Volltreffer. Wir haben die gemeinsame Yoga Einheit und das gemeinsame Frühstück sehr genossen!

This was the first part of my solo adventure. I stayed 4 nights 3 days. I rented a car and drove straight from the airport to their place at night. Driving takes some getting used, just be patient and trust that you’ll be ok. GPS takes you right there without any problems. I used google maps the whole time. Micheal and Ed were super accommodating and so so kind, especially considering my late arrival. Let me tell you when I woke up in the morning I was amazed at the view. It’s stunning. The second day I actually woke up to a rainbow over the lush green valley. I took advantage of the hot tub and yoga that they had to offer which was a real treat. I was able to go to La Paz waterfalls, Arenal volcano, and Los churros waterfall in the short amount of time I was there. This would truly be the perfect place for a retreat!! Plenty of room, peaceful surroundings, clean neat accommodations, and Micheal and Ed were there if I ever needed anything. I would give this place 10 stars if I could.

We stayed three nights at Ser La Luz and loved every minute. The home is beautiful, great views of the mountains and valley below. The hot tub at night was a real treat. But I must say that spending a little time with our hosts Michael and Ed and their friends was the highlight. The first night they invited us to join them and some ex-pat friends for dinner and the next day hooked us up with others who do a long morniing hike! Ed's yoga class was also a treat, he is a real master and the atmosphere lends the perfect touch!! I recommend this place for not only a personal trip but for their retreats as well. Pure Vida!!
