Family-run accommodation with charm, great food, and the best guides! We stayed with Grace, William, and Edwin for a couple of days and came back to them once again after another hike. We did a full-day hike with Edwin to Rumiñahui. It was a lot of fun! And very inspirational. He knows a lot about nature, the mountains, and the culture. We recommend doing a hike with him :) The huts are built in an ancestral way. They are rustic and charming. The town is not necessarily a gem; there are some dogs and roasters active in the early morning. However, we highly recommend the accommodation. Come for the welcoming spirit of this family and the close-by hikes. Thank you very much, Grace, William, and Edwin. We hope to see you soon!

Avant notre arrivée, les messages échangés avec William laissaient augurer un séjour sympathique. Ses conseils pour nous rendre chez lui étaient parfaits. Le lodge correspond parfaitement à ce qui est sur l'annonce. Mais le plus important, c'est l'hospitalité et la gentillesse de William, Grace et Edwin. Grace était toujours prévenante et souriante, Edwin nous a convoyés au départ des volcans que nous souhaitions gravir, agrémentant les trajets de récits et de discussions et, pour finir, nous avons gravi le Cayambe avec William, excellent guide de haute montagne. Merci à eux pour cet accueil.

We really enjoyed our stay with Willie, his family, and all the animals! The cabin was very cozy, and was the perfect place to sleep with the wood stove tucked under lots of blankets. Willie’s wife toured us around the property and introduced us to all the animals. We also decided to have dinner included (a few dollars extra) but it was well worth it. We had delicious and perfectly cooked chicken one night and trout the next night. We also had Willie take us to the Cotopaxi glacier at around 5300m (couldn’t reach the summit as it’s closed due to volcanic activity). It was perfect, he drove us right from the house and was a great guide for the area and allowed us to take our time to help with the acclimation to the higher elevation.

Bonitas cabañas! William y su esposa son super amables! La comida para el desayuno y para la cena esta rica. De la cabaña tienes una linda vista al Cotopaxi :)
