What an amazing view! It was absolutely breathtaking getting up every morning seeing the sun coming up over the mountains and lake! The decor is a little dated, but that’s probably to be expected in a “mountain cabin.” My son and I went there specifically to drive The Tail of The Dragon and surrounding roads. This house is a PERFECT location for that! We will definitely book this place again.

View is amazing. Great spacious deck area, but drive up the steep single lane road was unnerving. FYI, there are some sharp turns and no railings. While we enjoyed our stay, we felt more attention to the interior of the house would have elevated our experience from a "3.5" to a "5." Carpets need to be steamed cleaned or replaced (very worn and stained in spots), kitchen is quite outdated, and the addition of basic essentials (salt/pepper, oil) would have been appreciated especially since there are no grocery/convenience stores nearby. All beds are extremely firm, and the heat did not work well in 2 bedrooms (quite loud.) Owner did offer to send someone out, but we didn't want to be bothered on our brief stay. Top bedroom was unusable. Had a single old crusty window, dirty carpeting, much-too-firm mattress, and heater did not adjust properly (got too hot). We wished we could have used the gas fireplaces and felt the request to turn off Wifi when not in use seemed unreasonable.
