We used the Nook as a home base for our family during the "Great American Eclipse". We've been planning for the eclipse for four years. We have island property in Tupper Lake (in the path of totality) , and could not plan on being able to get there, depending on when the ice was out, so needed someplace for all of us to stay. My wife and I, our daughter, her husband and three grand daughters, and my son, his wife and his 18 month old, all stayed comfortably at the Nook. Each family had a floor in the house. There were a ton of toys, which the kids took advantage of, as well as a playscape. They even got to make snowmen! The host was super communicative, keeping tabs, and making sure we were comfortable and didn't need anything. All in all, an incredible experience. The eclipse did not disappoint, and having someplace relatively local removed all of the concerns about traffic. The Nook is a wonderful place for families to get together.

The Nook is great, quick and easy to get to GORE, great property and really nice inside. The only challenge we had was that one of the beds is in the basement, which is really nice, but heavy smell of oil from the furnace, so we couldn't use it. In the summer that room is probably a top choice though. Would definitely consider staying there again, just wouldn't factor in that basement room in the winter.

Maya and Marko are great hosts. The Nook is absolutely beautiful and versatile. Thanks again Maya and Marko. My siblings and I had an unforgettable time in the North Creek area. The Nook was the cornerstone of our fabulous winter vacation. When we make it back to the Adirondacks and North Creek area I hope we will be privileged enough to enjoy another stay at The Nook. Homey and extremely clean skin chalet! My family and I had a wonderful weekend. Highly recommend!!! 7 minutes from Gore.

Gorgeous place nestled in the quiet of the Adirondack mountains, less than a 10 minute drive to Gore mountain. Kitchen had everything we needed to feed 8 people and a large cafeteria style table that fit everyone. There were still Christmas decorations up when we went which added a special touch especially since the weekend we stayed we got a snow storm (which the hosts were prepared for with shovels, salt and a plow company that came to clear the drive way). When our party realized how much snow was expected, we decided to extend our stay, and the hosts were extremely accommodating, allowing us to work remote through the work day and past checkout. I would say the only feedback I heard from people in our party is that the hot water runs out fast so if more than two people are trying to take a shower in one night, someone might start to get cold water at the end however with well timed showers, this was easily avoided the rest of the time we were there. Great place to stay overall!
