We had a wonderful 2 night break at the Spiral. It was really comfortable and peaceful. Sally and Chris were really friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic 12 mile walk followed by a drink at the Pig and then lunch at the Red Lion. Perfect. Would recommend staying here.

It was a rare treat to experience being in a natural building, which breathes, is well insulated and regulates the temperature - and it was so peaceful. I loved the round shape, the beautiful wooden reciprocal roof with the central skylight. I slept so well and awoke with the birds singing. Sally and Chris are a lovely couple and have really thoughtfully constructed, furnished and equipped the Spiral. It was like being in nature without having to go camping; refreshing and so inspiring to be somewhere that is so in harmony with the earth. A real gem!

Ahhhh I had a really super time hosted by Sally and Chris. They were both so kind and accommodating. It really was a very enjoyable and restorative break for me and my dog! x

I had the most wonderful time at the Spiral Straw Bale Studio and I can’t wait to visit again. An immersive experience in resetting your circadian rhythm, it’s a wonderful place to stay. There was fruit and water on arrival. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need. The studio is warm and has tech you can enjoy and plenty of power points. There are convenient walks around the Kent orchards nearby and footpaths to the North Kent Way. I enjoyed both with my little dog in tow and there are plenty of pubs in nearby villages to frequent and enjoy. My highlight was really the conversations I had with the hosts. Sally and Chris run amazing sessions on personal transformation ranging from conflict management to breathwork and inner child work. I highly recommend them as practitioners as well as the heart and soul that they have poured into the accommodation. Will definitely stay again!
