Stayed for an entire week, and it was tranquility at its best! I can't say enough good things about this place. Whatever you imagine it to be, expect more and expect for your breath to be taken away. For a family of five, the cottage was private, comfortable, well appointed and beautiful. Nowadays, it's difficult to entice kids to get off devices -- this property naturally had us outside from sun rise to watching beautiful sunsets and gazing under the stars. Dora and Jafet were like family and they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Some must do's: (1) Relax and soak up the Dominican Sun (2) Buy and Eat + Drink Local - Seafood, Rum, Wine, Cherries, Coconuts, Mangoes, Sugarcane, Papaya, Mango, Passionfruit, tamarind, etc. {Note: Dora's yellow rice will have your spirit transported to another world} (3) Have afternoon tea in the garden with fresh honey (4) Beach, Sand, Sun (5) Showers under the stars, you'll never regret it One word = Peaceful

le Paradis! la maison, le jardín , la plage ... tout est parfait. c'est nos troisiemes Vacances dans cette maison et Nous avons toujours ete enchante de nos Vacances. Dora est une ecellente cuisiniere et a bien pris soins de Nous! Dieufet, autre personell de la maison, aussi a fait tout son possible pour que nos vacances se passent super bien! Edmundo est un hote exceptionel, il a tout fait pour que notre sejour se passe bien malgre une reservation tardive de notre part. recomendé a 100%.

Outstanding hidden gem. The pictures do not make justice to how beautiful and peaceful this place is. We were so in love with this place that we did not wanted to leave. Edmundo was a great host, if we needed anything there was someone available to help. Strongly recommended.

Our host called me as soon as we landed to make sure we had directions and make sure we had no problems with our rental car. He also checked in with us during our drive. I used maps and it led us right to the door. We drove at night through the rain and still had no problem getting there. The property is stunning, with a beautiful private beach and grounds. The staff made us feel right at home. The stafff cooked us delicious meals which we enjoyed on the private dock, on the patio or in the screened dining room.. The pool area was perfect for lounging in the sun and then cooling off with a quick dip in the pool. We played tennis, walked around the grounds and drove around the area. The staff even took us to get fresh red snapper in the village which we grilled ourselves after she cleaned them for us. Another highlight was the bonfire on the beach. I highly recommend The Hacienda if you want a quiet and intimate experience.
