Not the place for you if you are a light sleeper. The sound of the planes didn’t bother me. The bed was super comfy.

This spot was in a really nice area, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Michael had left us a detailed sheet of instructions and house rules that were very clear and easy to follow. There were also a lot of good recommendations on restaurants and other things in the area. The room itself is small, which personally I did not mind since it was a short stay, and they did an amazing job soundproofing the room since it is directly under the flight path. It wasn't completely silent but I would say you only hear about 20% of what you would if the room wasn't soundproofed. There are also earplugs provided for those who are light sleepers. The shared areas of the house were also very nice, looks even better than the photos. If I ever have a short stay in San Diego again I would be more than willing to come back to this spot

My beloved found this gem and sent it to me as we were perusing Airbnb. Obviously everyone talks about the outlandish cleaning fees. Now that we’ve stayed here, it makes sense! People need to pay MORE for cleaning fees the way that they groan about it. Michael has so many caring staff members who treat his house and his guests as their own. Not a thing out of place. Everything pristinely taken care of. The cleanest space I have ever seen in a shared lodging. And believe me. I’ve been around the entire country going to as many hotels as I can remember. Not a single one could even slightly mimic the experience here. So beautiful. It’s downtown San Diego, but it feels like an elegant cottage in the countryside. Each cabin was carefully designed and curated to fit a specific feeling. Ours was specifically designed to be “our own oasis”. It was like a whirl of different worldly paradises all blended perfectly together. I have lived in San Diego for so long, but have never felt so at home.
