10 min drive to Lake Barkley Resort. Plenty of parking or multiple vehicles and boat. Very responsive owner.

Ponderosa is a quaint lake house with easy access to the water. Our friends and I went up for a Juneteenth weekend and really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. They gave us kayaks to use so our full group was able to get on the lake. They were very responsive, as well. I’ll just note two things for future guests: they have a smaller place they rent out attached to the garage so you may share the porch with someone. It was not an issue for us at all but still good to be aware of. The second is that we had a bit of a flooding issue on the bottom floor the last night. It rained A LOT and the power went out too so I think that’s what caused the flooding. However, they were very responsive and accommodating and even issued us a refund for our last night. I imagine that was a rare scenario but still wanted to note. Still definitely recommend this lovely location on the lake!!

We had a terrific time at The Ponderosa! It was very clean and inviting! Super relaxing and quiet. Saw several deer in the back yard and in the neighborhood, too. Two den areas was a treat! The communication with the hosts was outstanding!
