Ruth is a superb host and kind person . She's extremely responsive and anticipated my. eeds - including boosting the house wifi when I needed an extremely strong connection for work. I was very comfortably able to work from home with a large desk in bay windows for 2 months, in a spacious room. The location is convenient, a 5 minute walk to the orange line that takes you straight to the heart of Boston. Malden itself is a chill neighborhood, with a beautiful park nearby the house and an amazing local cafe (Bikeeny cafe!) less than 3 blocks away. super recommend for the remote worker wanting to explore the area!

I worked remotely full-time from here for over two months, it really worked well for a between-leases option. The desk is large and I was able to set up my monitor, keyboard, etc. and the area is quiet enough that I could always take work calls comfortably (albeit the usual neighborhood noises like lawn mowers). Wifi was secure, but occasionally became slow when others were using it. There is a parking space out back that Ruth allowed me to use for the duration of my stay. Full use of the shared upstairs kitchen was a huge plus as well, it has nice cooking ware and Ruth was always available to help if I couldn't find something. A section of the fridge and a cupboard was available for foodstuff. The bedding was new and the room had plenty of space, with one closet and a rack with drawers for more storage. The only part that was hard for a long-term stay was the bathroom, just due to the size and presence of an older shower in it that doesn't work. FYI - the shower available for use is upstairs and is shared with the host. Ruth was very welcoming, always available and fun to talk to. I enjoyed getting to know her and the recommendations she gave me for the area. She is respectful of privacy but happy to chat and trade stories if you're inclined :)

I had a pleasant stay for 35 days.Ruth is caring, sweet, and the place is safe with all respect. My room had all the facilities I needed like private bathroom, a big laptop wooden desk, AC, clean blanket and pillows. However, If you need anything to be fixed Ruth is always available to get it sorted the same day. Malden center T is in walk-able distance and the neighborhood is so nice and peaceful. Stop&shop, CVS, Walgreens, and top rated restaurants are walk-able not more than a mile. Overall, Great location and hospitality.

Great place to stay. Quiet and friendly environment. Orange line is just a 5min walk away and takes around 20min to downtown crossing.
