We really enjoyed our stay at the "castle". James was very welcoming and gave us some great suggestions on things to see/do and places to eat. The location is great - nice views of the lake from the room/yard, nearby beaches and nearby hiking trails. You can easily walk to the "square" in town where you will find shops and restaurants. We enjoyed our conversations with James and one of his guests. We would definitely stay here again if our travels take us back to Goderich.

Jame's house is amazing. Wow! Location: large property - heritage home, tall ceilings, large rooms, great yard, great view over the water & sunset. It feels amazing to be in this house. We took our bicycles to Goderich and just biked around on a mild September day (pro tip: bring your bike to Goderich!). Downtown is with walking distance and on a bike it's a blink of an eye. Great restaurants, cafes, and bakery nearby. Museum and goal (pronounced jail) are good things to do on not-so-sunny day. House is fully equipped with kitchen and James has a hot coffee on the go in the morning - and I had very great conversations with James over a cup of coffee (I'm an Airbnb host too - so lots to talk about). 100% recommended. 5 stars!!!
