We stayed 7 nights. Location easy to get to. The ocean sound and view was nice. The house is in good shape. Needs some minor maintenance in and out just like most do but nothing that interrupted our stay. We had hoped to be able to swim the beach at the home but did not think it wise to do so. The ocean is accessible - getting down to the water, the steps are washed out so be careful there. Properties up and down the beach have that same issue due to the natural effect of erosion and being so close to the water. Be sure to turn on the little gas valve if you need to use the dryer. We realized that after trying to dry a load of clothes. In conclusion, I recommend this place, it is spacious and comfortable. Juan is a great host. Loved your place. Enjoyed our stay there.

The place is in a good location but the house needs regular maintenance. Some of the shower heads did not work. Some toilets needed several flushes to fully work. Water went out for a full morning and the water pump broke. Juan was responsive in his resolution but it was less than ideal to keep waiting for people to come and fix things. We had to change our plans to make sure someone was in the house to receive the plumber.

Casa Mega is a spacious property, well located between Progreso and Chicxulub. It’s a little tricky to find if you’ve never been to the area. But Juan was helpful and sent us a pin to find the property. He met us there in person and showed us around. The home shows some signs of aging but was very enjoyable. Juan was very responsive in addressing any issues we had. We would definitely consider staying at Casa Mega again or one of Juan’s properties.
