This place was average. Firstly very hard to get to the GPS address given on the listing brought us to the wrong place a very narrow rocky road where it was almost impossible to turn the car back around. The host isn’t available at check in so you have to speak to a middle man who had no idea how to explain to us where the house was located. Once we finally found it, the house was nice and peaceful but not clean at all, toilet bowl was stained, couch and cushions were dirty pillows under the pillows cases were absolutely disgusting, spider webs everywhere. We ended up cutting our 7 night trip short and check out as soon as we could.

Wir haben die Unterkunft frühzeitig verlassen. Der Garten ist schön angelegt jedoch ist das Haus in keinem guten Zustand. Durch Kontakt mit dem Supportteam und mit Fotos die den Zustand belegen, konnten wir die Unterkunft verlassen und haben eine volle Rückerstattung erhalten.

The ad sells this place as: A Cozy and secluded house with garden in Bodrum, the ‘Entire Villa’ in this hidden paradise with breathtaking interior design and ethnic furniture. Doesn’t that sound like a hidden paradise ? Great, some privacy and a private swimming pool near the beach. We sure thought it was great and booked it based on the ad text.. boy were we wrong. Hidden it for sure is, paradise not so sure. A narrow private road with large boulders as pavement, walls on either side and zero illumination leads to the house.. getting the car there without severe damage it is the first challenge… ok.. let’s hope it’s worth all the effort. What we found after arriving wasn’t exactly what was described in the ad. The place was worn down, old, smelling moldy, despite the fact there was more than enough ventilation: even with the door closed you could still see the outside through the gaps so not sure what to use the air-conditioning for unless it’s cooling all of Bodrum. Selling this as breath taking interior design is either very cynical or what real estate agents call ‘full of original elements’ when they mean a 19th century never-renovated place. Then the garden.. and of course the private pool.. well.. the ‘private’ pool.. isn’t. The pool might be hidden in the greenery, it’s also three meters away from the neighbor’s property on two sides, the same neighbor who happens to be the man that also administers the place for the owner. Shout once and he’s in the garden in about two seconds which is what we found out when a dog tried to jump over the fence. So far for the privacy.. zero.. Creepy? For sure. In a nutshell we decided to run away as fast as we could, write off the rent and go somewhere with a slightly less ‘breath taking’ smell and interior design, somewhere we felt comfortable, had at least some privacy and didn’t have to drive the gauntlet every time we went in or out. If this is your thing you may still want to stay here.. if it’s not.. perhaps re-think and save your money.. once checked in it’s gone.
